Who?
All persons aged 18 and over.
Anyone interested can take part in the courses. Previous experience in HEMA is helpful but not essential.
The castle is NOT wheelchair accessible!

Food
The price includes breakfast and lunch on Saturday and Sunday, as well as dinner on Friday and Saturday.
For coffee/tea outside of breakfast times, there is a coffee machine (payable by yourself! Coins only!).
Please indicate any allergies/intolerances or other requests when registering.
Overnight stay
Overnight stay at the castle in shared rooms.
Rooms equipped with washbasins, toilets and showers in the hallway.

Bed linen and small towels are provided.
​Please indicate your room occupancy preferences when registering.
Equipment
The following items are required for the courses:

Comfortable sportswear

Fencing gloves, alternatively light, padded gloves

Fencing mask, if available

Appropriate weapons, if available
A limited number of weapons are available for use!

In good weather, some courses can also take place outdoors!
Miscellaneous
For Saturday, there will be the option of purchasing a day ticket (with optional tasting).

Please drink alcohol responsibly! As soon as the whisky bottles are opened, the weapons disappear into your bags without exception! Workshops and evening programmes will take place in designated separate rooms.
The (K)nights of Blades & Barrels are politically and religiously neutral. Together with our participants, we work to combat racism, xenophobia and
all forms of extremism.
When training, please always perform the techniques calmly and in a controlled manner. Strength and speed must be coordinated with your partner.
Avoid not paying attention to your training partner.
Smoking is prohibited on the castle grounds.
Please use only the designated smoking area.
